David’s Book

The book’s target audience is childen aged 3 – 7 years. The hero of the book is David, whose prototype has been drawn on a brick found at Turaida Castle. David introduces readers to the castle’s history, construction, bricks, as well as the castle’s lords and other residents. He also tells stories of the history of Turaida Castle. Each of David’s stories is accompanied by tasks that encourage kids to work and develop their skills at writing, arithmetic and paying attention, etc.
The book is accompanied by a sheet of stickers. The book is also richly illustrated with drawings by artist Una Leitāne.
